Shana Dirik
Shana has been performing since the tender age of ten. Shan's favorite roles include the mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Phyllis in Follies, Aldonza in The Man of La Mancha and, most recently, the witch in Sondheim's Into the Woods. Shana feels that Eva is the ultimate role for any female in theatre.
Shana has been busy since her Player's performance in Evita with the roles of Mame and Lalume in Wakefields Repertory's productions of Mame and Kismet. She also was Chloe in the Vokes Players productions of Lips Together, Teeth Apart, Mother Superior in Arlington Friends production of Nunsense, and most recently in September as Fanny Brice in AFT's production of Funny Girl.
Shana's contribution to the production of Jacques Brel helped win for the Concord Players the Best Production for the EMACT entry at Brandais and then again Best Production at the Regional Festival at which Shana also took home the award for Best Actress! Next we go to the National Competition in Harrisburg, PA in the Spring of 2001.
