Bob Carter
Bob was born in Concord at the N.E. Deaconess Hospital on Old Road to Nine Acre Corner. The owner and manager of Carter Furniture Co., he is a well—known and revered citizen of Concord. He has previously performed with the drama groups at the West Concord Union Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sudbury.
Bob played Howie Newsome in Our Town in 1985 and when he appeared the next year to do props for Company the late Jo Sosman said, "I knew you would be back." He played two "bit" parts in Mad Woman of Chaillot as well as helping Vinnie MacLeod with props. Bob co-produced Kiss Me Kate with Jack Sweet, and was back stage again for the EMACT production of Private Wars. Without the help of his co-producer and wonderful crews this production would not have "gone up." He often thought of Broadway (in the role of a character actor), but found his niche as an entrepeneur in the place of his birth, Concord, Massachusetts. Presently he enjoys being a guide at Orchard House, home of the Alcotts.
Privately he is an entrepreneur in Concord Junction
