Michelle M. Aguillon
Michelle (she/her/hers) has worked in Boston-area theatre for more than 25 years as a director, actor, producer, and writer. Directing credits: Asian-American Playwright Collective Annual Playfest (Starlight Theater, Cambridge), The Walking Plays (Lyric Stage Company), Boston Resilience Project Plays: East Boston, Nos Vemos (Speakeasy Stage Co.), Fences, The Joy Luck Club, Disgraced, To Kill a Mockingbird, True West (Umbrella Stage Co.), Augusta and Noble (Emerson Theater), Vietgone (Company One), Sylvia (Theatre Uncorked, Calderwood), Proof (The Nora, Central Square Theater), Clybourne Park, Terra Nova, Of Mice and Men (Quannapowitt Players), Communicating Doors, Rapture, Blister, Burn (Vokes Players), God of Carnage, Anton in Show Business (Acme Theater), Miss Saigon, Secret Garden (Turtle Lane Playhouse), Rabbit Hole, Marjorie Prime, Pillowman, Kimberly Akimbo, Looking for Normal, A Midsummer Night's Dream, A Christmas Carol and G.R. Point (Hovey Players). Future directing projects include a new commissioned work (title TBA) at the Umbrella Stage Company, a new play (title TBA) at the Asian American Theater Artists of Boston, Taming of the Shrew (Third Citizen Theatre Company), and The Piano Lesson (Vokes Players). Michelle studied theatre at San Francisco State University and the National Theater of London. She is the Executive Director of Creative Arts in Reading, MA, and proudly serves as the Director of the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Task Force for the Eastern MA Association of Community Theaters (EMACT) and is President of the Board of Directors at StageSource.
