Lis Adams Lis has appeared on many Boston area stages, in roles ranging from an accordion-playing marathon dancer to a tap-dancing, gum-chewing, dyslexic floozy. Parts in past productions at The Concord Players include Eleanore of Aquitaine in The Lion in Winter, Melissa in Love Letters, Sylvia in Stepping Out, Karen in Jake’s Women, and Linda in Death of a Salesman. She is an Actor-in-Residence for Playwrights’ Platform, performing regularly at their annual Festival of Plays at Boston Playwrights Theater. Most recently she was seen onstage as Costanza in Enchanted April at Hovey Players, and this past season she received an EMACT DASH award nomination for Best Actress for her portrayal of Molly Sweeney at Amazing Things Theatre Company. Lis studied acting at Brandeis University with Ted Kazanoff and in NYC with Herbert Berghof. She was also a German scholar at Brandeis and in Vienna, Austria, and is proud of her Pennsylvania Deutsch heritage. |
