James O'Brien Jim is active as both actor and director with the Concord Players and the Vokes Theatre in Wayland. For the Players, Jim was Frederick in A Little Night Music, Harry in Company, Leonard Vole in Witness for the Prosecution, and at Vokes, Thomas Moore in A Man for All Seasons. As Dave Moss in their production of Glengarry Glen Ross, he traveled to Knoxville where the production won AACT's national competition. He directed, with distinction, two of Concord's NETC performances; in 1985, Pinter's The Collection which won best production and in 1988, Pvt. Wars, which took the awards for best director and best ensemble.
