Refreshments will be served both before and after the business meeting, there will be live music for listening and dancing, and everybody will hear about our exciting new lineup of shows for the 2008-2009 season!

ALSO – Plan on being in port when Gilbert and Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore sails into 51 Walden the weekend of April 5 & 6 !!  This semi-staged production (another collaboration of the Concord Players, Concord Orchestra, and Concord Band) will be conducted by Alan Yost, assisted by chorus director Sarah Telford. Concord Players member John Small will sing the role of Sir Joseph Porter, and you'll spot a number of other Concord Players in the chorus, including Bill Maxwell, Sara Ballard, Cliff Bean, John Hutchins, Mike Lague, David Atwood. Gail Sahney, Peter Yensen, and Jim Miller. Sally Bull will co-produce along with David Atwood and Carole Wayland. Dolores Carabillo will handle costume design, and Dorothy Schecter is assisting with publicity. Everyone who was fortunate enough to get a ticket to last-year’s sold-out performance of The Pirates of Penzance can tell you that you’ll be in for an evening of top-notch music, magnificent operatic singing, and Gilbert and Sullivan’s timelessly entertaining and hilariously silly comedy! TWO PERFORMANCES ONLY at 51 Walden Street in Concord, on Saturday April 5 at 8:00pm and Sunday April 6 at 2:00pm. This production of H.M.S. Pinafore is being sponsored by Friends Of the Performing Arts in Concord (FOPAC), 51 Walden Street, Concord, MA. Tickets are $20, $15 for seniors and students. You can buy them on-line or call the FOPAC office at 978 369-7911. Proceeds will benefit the operation of 51 Walden.

Dorothy Parker Revived was very well received by an enthusiastic and appreciative audience at 51 Walden on Sunday, February 24 – look for even more special theatrical events in the future! (click for slideshow)
