Ann Marie King

 

Most recently, Ann Marie performed in an evening of one-act plays featuring theater artists on the rise Catch 'em on the Rise! Salem's Theatre Slam in May 2006. Last summer she was chosen as one of 4 finalists to sing in the Oldies 103.3 Superstar Contest at the Hatch Shell on June 11, 2005!  She also belted out the part of Jabba the Hutt in Space Opera (based on George Lucas' Star Wars) with NCFOC.  Last spring 2004, she played the sequel role to Monica (Samireh) in the world premier of the light opera Springtime for Haman.  She was Monica in the world premier of The Coronation of Esther and was MissTique in the North American premier of Antiphony (all 3 of these operas are available on commercial CD and were performed by NCFOC.

Other favorite roles include:   Sybil in Private Lives (Theatre on the Hill);  Minnie in Engaged (Sudbury Savoyards); Peg in Peg O' My Heart (Encore Players of Springfield) ; Morgan le Fey, Camelot (Mystic Players); young Rose Kennedy in the play reading of Go Lovely Rose;  Miss Jones, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Mystic Players); Philia, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Little Theatre of Stoughton); Chris, Rumors (Victory Players of Easthampton); Bianca, Taming of the Shrew(Exit 7 Players); Maggie, Lend Me A Tenor ; Soul Girl, Jesus Christ Superstar (Academy of Performing Arts); Hot Box Girl, Guys and Dolls (Mystic Players); Dinner Theater Favorites: Valentine's Day, Holidays (Class Act Productions where she earned a Star Performer Award); Gloria, Star Search; Stacy, Pot O' Gold; and Viola and Louisa in Joey and Maria's Comedy Italian Wedding ( Dillstar Productions). 

She has also appeared in feature roles with Stageloft Repertory (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Turtle Lane Playhouse (Annie), Fiddlehead Theater (Hello Dolly), Kaji Aso Studio (Don Giovanni on commercial CD) and Concord Players (Oklahoma!). In her spare time she is a cantor, spokes model, a performer in traveling variety shows, and is a song leader in choirs like the OYA choir that sang at Jubilee 2000 at Fenway Park.

...She currently just released a CD 'A Little Joy for a Merry Christmas' and is working on demos for other songwriters.
