Pamela Dritt
Pamela is delighted to be playing Lady Bracknell with this wonderful cast and crew. She has been active both as an actor and a director in the Boston area for a long, long, time. Favorite roles she has played include: Feste in Twelfth Night (here at Concord Players,) Hermione in The Winter's Tale (at the Agassiz Theatre in Cambridge,) The Douglas in Henry IV, Part One (in an all female production by Innana Theatre Co.,) Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Ariel in The Tempest, and Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream. For several years she's played the fool in Saint George and the Dragon, along with helping with the singing and costuming for Concord Players’ Winter Welcome. She has worked with the Lyric Stage (Edith in Blithe Spirit, and Mick in The Caretaker,) Wheelock Family Theatre (Mrs. Web in Our Town,) Playwright’s Platform, and Theatre In Process, among others. She most enjoys working with playwrights on original scripts and working with Shakespeare in any capacity. Pamela has directed many plays, original scripts, and children’s theatre. Among others, she directed Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest, A Winter’s Tale, and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, using original and period music and dance for each production. For several years she was Artistic Director of The New England Theatre Guild, which toured original musicals and Shakespeare to schools. Pamela trained with Tina Packer and Shakespeare & Co. She is active in The Society for Creative Anachronism (a medieval re-creation group,) I Sebastianni (a Commedia dell’Arte troupe,) and Concord Madrigals (a women’s chorus.) She also enjoys dancing (from medieval to ballroom,) costuming, and photography. She lives in Concord with her 12 year old son, Will. |
