Ben DiScipio
Ben is pleased to be involved
in his first show with the Concord Players. Having begun his career in the theater
as a musical director, he was convinced, at the age of 25, that he might be
able to sing, enrolled in NEC's Opera Studio, and his years on stage began.
In the intervening years, some of his favorite leading roles have been Archie in The Secret Garden, Stone in City of Angels, Anthony in Sweeney Todd, Sam in Crossing Delancey, Terry in Side Show, and Jekyll/Hyde in Jekyll and Hyde, The Musical, nominated in 2003 for the IRNE Award for Best Musical. More recently, he has been seen in BERLIN TO BROADWAY WITH KURT WEILL at the Gloucester Stage, and as Arthur in the professional premiere of Douglas J Cohen's THE GIG, at The Lyric Stage Company of Boston. It is a special thrill for Ben to share the stage with his talented wife. Special thanks to his mom for looking after their "little joy", Jared ... just a FEW more times than the "every once and a while" she signed on for.
