Ron Dallas
Ron combines his small theatrical design and construction company work with set design; with lighting installation and rigging, and with costuming for the Players and other local theatre groups. In 1972 he was technical director and rigger for the Savayard Light Opera Company in Carlisle for their production of HMS Pinafore. He served as treasurer for the New England Section of The United States Institute of Theatre Tecnicians. (USITT.)
Reviving a dormant interest in theatre started while he was studying engineering at Tufts, Ron became a charter member of a new theater group in the early 80's Designing and building three shows per year in a 1400-seat theatre was quite an awakening. Since that time, he has designed set or lighting for many theatre groups.
Recent work includes being Technical Director/Designer for two productions of Mikado last year and lighting designer for a third, Technical Director for Sudbury Savoyards' Ruddygore, and Master Electrician for the Concord Players' Hard Times.
Ron is currently the Treasurer/Secretary for the New England region of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology. In his free time from the theatre, Ron works for Teradyne in Boston as a CAM Specialist.
