Elaine Crane is delighted to be returning to Concord Players, having last performed as Maria in The Sound of Music, for which she won the 2013 DASH award for best actress in a musical. Described by critics as "brilliant, charming, a beautiful voice and very fine comic actor", favorite stage roles include Fiona (Brigadoon), Marian (The Music Man), Guenevere (Camelot), Lily (Secret Garden), Eliza (My Fair Lady),the Countess (The Marriage of Figaro), Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus), Micaëla (Carmen), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) and many of the G&S heroines, including Mabel, Princess Ida, Josephine, Elsie, Rose Maybud, and Yum-Yum. She can be heard on the original soundtrack recording of the musical Song on the Wind by Concord composer David MacAdam of New Life Fine Arts. An honors graduate of The Boston Conservatory, Elaine is the founder and executive director of Greater Worcester Opera.
