Kate Blair
This is Kate's first opportunity to share the stage with her husband and favorite dance partner, David. She thanks him for his patience and hopes his bruised feet heal soon. Kate made her stage debut at age five as Piglet in the College Farm Children’s Theater production of Winnie the Pooh. She continued to act through grammar school and majored in theater in high school at the Wykeham Rise School for the Fine and Performing Arts. While earning her B.A. in English at Boston University, she performed in “Off Huntington Avenue” student productions. Since moving to Concord in 1983 she has worked with several of the local community theaters as an actor, singer, dancer, and in technical support. Some of her favorite roles have been Amanda in Private Lives, Sandy in The Prime of Miss Jean Brody, and the Chambermaid in Of Thee I Sing. She recently appeared in the independent film Thoreau; a Recreation, as well as in student films and an industrial for a carpenters’ union. She has studied stage acting with Andrea Southwick, voice with Antonio Ocampo-Guzman and Jane Ring Frank, film acting with Michael Fennimore, and voice-over technique with Will Lebow. When not performing on stage or film, Kate teaches Spirometry at the Harvard School of Public Health. She is a member of
AFTRA and has appeared in several independent films. This is Kate's fourth
