Brad Amidon Brad is happy to be making his debut with the Concord Players in Kiss Me, Kate. Although new to the Concord Players, he has appeared many times on the stage here at 51 Walden in FOPAC productions as Frederic in Pirates of Penzance, Frosch in Die Fledermaus, Raoul de St. Brioche in Merry Widow, Gastone (cover) in La Traviata, and most recently as the radio announcer and foley artist in The Old Maid and the Thief. A prolific performer of Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, Brad has appeared as both Frederic and The Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance, Nanki Poo in Mikado, Cyril in Princess Ida, Leonard Meryll in Yeomen of the Guard, and Captain Fitzbattleaxe in Utopia, Limited, and most recently, the Duke in Patience. Other favorite roles include Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest, Charlie in Brigadoon, Marcellus in Music Man, and as a descamisado in Evita just down the road at The Umbrella. When not acting on stage, Brad sings with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, performing with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops. |
