Harry Rothman

Harry returned to New England in 2004 after living for 26 years in northern California. While there, he established himself as a theatre jack-of-all-trades, performing as an actor, singer, dancer, emcee and improvisor while also tackling the tasks of director, producer, stage manager, tour manager, light designer, light operator, stage hand and theatre company manager.

He also found time to acquire his Screen Actors Guild membership via parts in Murder, She Wrote on TV and in Humanoids of the Deep on the silver screen. He was part of the Obie Award winning cast of the San Francisco Mime Troupe's Seeing Double, created the show-stopping role of Shecky, the Pirate Parrot in My Three Legs with Hit and Run Theater of Mendocino and clucked his little heart out as Poultrioti in the immortal cluck-a-pella classic The Nutclucker Suite, and other Chicken Holiday Treats, played to millions on the Doctor Demento Radio Show.

Since returning to Massachusetts, Harry has made a smooth transition to more 'mature' roles, such as Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls at Turtle Lane Playhouse, Floyd in Blue Hair Troupe, Mr. Salt in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Neverland Theatre Company and most recently as Herr Schultz in the Metro Stage Company's production of Cabaret. He is also a proud charter member of the Essex Harmony Singers, performing songs from the 17th and 18th centuries at historic venues around New England, soon to travel to San Antonio to sing at The Alamo. Harry is thrilled to be making his Concord Players debut with such a stellar cast and crew. All the best!
