Peter Nigra
Peter
has enjoyed acting on stage for the last 20 years, since the second grade.
He remembers thinking it was curtains for his acting career once in High
School but that soon passed. Peter is not sure of where he gets his love
of the stage. He’s not sure if his parents ever acted in a theatrical
performance at all. Most
of Peter’s roles have been here in the U.S. In 1996 and ’97 Peter was lucky enough to
perform in Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot
as the character Vladimir, both in America and in Mannheim, Germany at
the Theater Trennt. Of the last 6 productions Peter has been involved
in, this is his third with director Marcy Campbell.
The two first crossed paths in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,
produced by the Newton Country
Players in 1998. Other productions include The Nerd and Sentimental
Journey with NCP, How the Other Half Loves and Arthur Miller’s
All My Sons with the Wellesly Players and Ubu
Roi and Mad Forest with TheatreZone
in Chelsea, MA. When
Peter is not on stage or working at the sexy boutique-consulting firm
The
Jacobson Group his hobbies include flying small planes,
playing the accordion, and
listening to the Texaco-Met Saturday
operas. One day Peter hopes to find a cure for cancer, establish world peace, and eat ice cream without getting a headache.
