About 4:30 Jacques Brel opened on the Whitaker Center Stage in Harrisburg. There are 11 productions and we were the ninth production. It was clear that the audience was tired. The cast performed beautifully, but did not receive the sort of audience response they had enjoyed in previous times. This did not show in their performance, but the adjudicators remarks seemed to make it clear that Brel was not going to be the winner. And to top it all off, most of the photos I got from this production were quite soft. At any rate, some of these pictures follow:
