1936
In 1936, Heddie attended the Gloucester School of the Theatre. This
experience taught her that she was not going to be a great actress. But, it
also taught her the many backstage skills that have made her so valuable to
the Players, as well as to the children she has directed in plays both here
and in Lincoln as Children's Librarian. Also in 1936 Heddie became a member
of the Concord Players Executive Board -- they wanted "young blood"
and Heddie qualified.
