After the wonderful reception summer Shakespeare has received over the years, our summer troupe has decided to formalize its identity at the Concord Players with a new name.

But this troupe dates back to 2012, and has produced nine plays since then. Are you curious about our past productions? We have complete video for the most recent six, slideshows for all but one, and cast and crew info for them all. See it here:

Upcoming Events

We're delighted to announce that in 2023 we will be performing A Midsummer Night's Dream on the two weekends surrounding the summer solstice (June 17/18 and 24/25), and Richard II on the two weekends after Labor Day (September 9/10 and 16/17). The former is an anniversary of sorts, as it is roughly a decade since Midsummer Mechanicals, the reduced version of Midsummer that was our troupe's very first production. The latter is, we hope, the beginning of a beautiful friendship with the plays of Shakespeare's Henriad, which we explored in our online "book club" in 2021.

So mark your calendars and stay tuned for precise details of performance times.

And if you need more Shakespeare in your life before the summer, we are finishing up our series of workshops based on the RSC's 1980s television series Playing Shakespeare with March and April meetings. Click here for more details.
