Amanda first kicked up her heels with Concord Players in 2014 as a Laker Girl in Spamalot, and she is so excited to now serve on the CP Board! Amanda is a mathematician and analyst for MIT by day, while at night dabbles in all things theatre. Most recently she has been responsible for bringing musical theatre concert productions to the MIT campus as a part of MIT's Artists Beyond the Desk organization, emphasizing the importance of the Arts among the STEM fields.
Amanda is an active musical theatre (and recently, film) performer throughout the New England area. She spent nearly two years in the role of Wendla Bergman in Spring Awakening, which earned eight EMACT State Festival awards including Best Ensemble and Best Production. The production then moved to the 2015 New England Regional Festival, where the cast and crew again took home the Best Ensemble award and placed runner-up for Best New England Regional Production. Other favorite roles include Jo March (Little Women: the Musical) and Louise (Gypsy) -- two roles she could have easily played as long as her age would allow -- as well as Catherine Hiatt (The Last Five Years),Claire (Ordinary Days), and Madeleine Astor (Titanic: the Musical). She also performs regularly with local cabarets, and received a 2015 ArtsImpulse Award nomination for Best Solo or Cabaret Performance for the Sing Out! cabaret series at Club Cafe in Boston.
Amanda is so happy to share her love for the Concord Players with all of you!!!
