David Berti

David is very happy to be back at Concord Players for the third time, working with this gifted cast, crew, and artistic team.  David’s last role at Concord Players was as Buddy Plummer in Follies.  Prior to that, David played the "Man in Chair” in The Drowsy Chaperone, for which he won the DASH award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical.   David has worked with many local community theaters, including Vokes Players, where he played Sir Thomas More in A Man for All Seasons, Macbeth in Macbeth, and Guido Contini in Nine.  Other favorite roles include June Cline in Second Samuel at the Burlington Players, Joe Keller in All My Sons and Walter Flood in Becky’s New Car at Quannapowitt Players, Tito Merelli in Lend Me a Tenor at the Next Door Theater, and Roy Cohn in Angels in America, Parts 1 and 2, at the Umbrella.  David also did several stints as Mike Thomas in Shear Madness at the Charles Playhouse and was a company member of the Boston Shakespeare Company.  David has directed several shows: Wings (DASH award for Best Production of a Play), To Kill a Mockingbird and The Heiress at Vokes Players; Other People’s Money for Burlington Players and Come Back, Little Sheba at Hovey Players.  By day, David is the registrar at New England Law | Boston.  He lives in Waltham and is married to a very talented director, Donnie Baillargeon.
