James is thrilled to be working with The Concord Players for the first time. With his Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory and his Masters of Music Education from Anderson University, James has worked as a music director and voice teacher for over a decade. Past shows include 42nd Street, Sideshow, Jesus Christ Superstar and Avenue Q (all with The Umbrella Stage Company). A highlight for James has been winning back-to-back DASH awards for Best Music Director for his work on Big Fish (Best Musical) and Parade (Best Musical). Additionally, James teaches voice and music directs for The Wellesley Theatre Project and also runs his own private voice studio JMurphyVoice@gmail.com
