Fall 1999

book by ARTHUR LAURENTS
music by JULE STYNE

In November the Concord Players will present the musical "Gypsy", based on Gypsy Rose Lee's memoirs. Gypsy Rose Lee: Burlesque Queen, international darling, wit and writer. The music is some of the best ever presented on a Broadway stage (Styne and Sondheim) ,and the story is gripping, honest and funny. Ethel Merman (Broadway), Rosalind Russell (film), and Bette Midler (TV) have played "Mama Rose" to universal acclaim. Concord plans to do the same.
